Day 73: National Employee Appreciation Day

Employee Appreciation is important for any successful business. Employee appreciation leads to happy employees. Happy employees lead to a happy work environment, and a happy work environment is a productive work environment.  A boss, who shows employee appreciation, has a better chance of having a staff, which enjoys working for them.  So, as a boss, what are the best ways to show employee appreciation, without breaking the bank? Here is a list of ideas.

1. Employee Appreciation Treats
2. Employee Appreciation Necessities
3. Employee Appreciation Plaques
4. Employee Appreciation Cards

All four of the components on the list are great ways to show employee appreciation. An office is like a well-oiled machine. It is only as good as the sum of its parts. This year show your employees how much you care, with employee appreciation gifts.

Youth Employment Service ‘s (YES) mission is to teach youth and young adults ages 14-22 the skills needed to secure and maintain meaningful employment, and to offer programs that help young people improve their employability, career choices and quality of life.

Helping youth get a job and keep a job is what YES is all about. They provide a friendly environment where each youth is treated with dignity and respect. They address employment needs on an individualized basis. Youth learn the employment process through life skills building, as well as pre-employment and job retention skills training. Youth are referred to good and meaningful jobs in their own community where they learn the value and satisfaction of a good days work, grow their skills, and contribute to a thriving economy.

Youth Employment Service is a community based 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in Costa Mesa, California. Founded by volunteers who believed that employment and the lessons learned from work were critical for youths’ positive development, YES has served as a bridge between young people seeking employment and the business community seeking capable and enthusiastic young employees – for four decades.

At Youth Employment Service, they seek to inspire their community’s youth to achieve their dreams. They accomplish this by helping youth gain economic independence and personal self-sufficiency through training and meaningful employment opportunities.

More than 45,000 young people have been served by our teen-friendly programs, which includes structured pre-employment skills training, individualized job and life skills counseling, job referrals, mentoring and follow-up services.
