It seemed appropriate to make a donation to United Prosperity to start 2011 with a contribution to help someone else become prosperous.
United Prosperity presents for you the opportunity to directly help poor entrepreneurs and transform the lives of their families and communities. You select the entrepreneur to support and each $1 you contribute acts as collateral or a loan guarantee with a bank. Based on the guarantee, the bank makes a loan of nearly $2 to the entrepreneur through a partner, Microfinance Institution (MFI). Once a guarantee has been made, the entrepreneur’s progress can be tracked online. On loan repayment you get your money back and you can choose to recycle it by guaranteeing the loan to another entrepreneur. I try to remember that handouts are temporary and can be misunderstood by the recipient. Providing and establishing the necessary tools to develop one's own abundance can be for a lifetime and self controlled. All around the world people want this. Therefore, I begin my year with helping someone else help themselves.
