Today there are two celebrations that I thought could be recognized together. One is fun and the other more serious, but could go hand-in-hand with some imagination.
National Bubble Bath Day is celebrated today to remind us bubble baths are tons of fun and a great way to relax. Every day could be Bubble Bath Day but today is the official day—a fun day to relax and enjoy the warm and soothing pleasures of a bubble bath. The concept is simple. Fill your bathtub up with bubbles and toys and then jump in and start the fun.
Bubble baths are so much fun. We wish everyday could be Bubble Bath Day. Best of all, it can be enjoyed by kids and adults. For kids, it's playtime. For adults, it's soothing pleasure. There are many benefits associated with bubble baths. The warm water and steam will open up your pores, cleanse your skin, and loosen up tight muscles so that you can fully relax.
Midwife’s Day is celebrated Jan 8 each year to honor midwives and all women. On this day women stop their housework and spend their time in cafés, while the men do all the housework chores and look after the children. In some villages in different countries, men caught outside “will be stripped … and drenched with cold water.”
Family Care International was the first international organization dedicated to maternal health, founded out of a determination to remedy the neglect of hundreds of thousands of women dying in pregnancy and childbirth each year. FCI has been working ever since 1986, collaboratively, innovatively, and effectively to make pregnancy and childbirth safer around the world. As testament to the impact of their work, FCI was the 2008 recipient of the United Nations Population Award. With field offices in five countries in Africa and Latin America, and activities and materials that span the world, FCI pursues a world where no woman suffers preventable injury or death from pregnancy or childbirth-related causes and in which all people are able to enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
